girls camp 2008. o was a second year and all i wanted was to be away . i went to girls camp on june 17th til june 21st.
june 17th- we all left me , marie , sabrina , kathryn , katherine, heather were all in one car. the trip seemed fast because we were watching ratatouiee. we arrived and had to gallop to our camp site we then set up our things and prepare for the upcoming week. we finished setting up and all the camps went to the medow to play games but we got a annocment that the 4th year hikers were arriving so we all run to the place we thught they would be however they came in the opposite side of camp.we then finished things in camp ate dinner, had lots and lots of fun. we finished the night with a fireside.
june 18th-teusday was a fun a nd to me a spirtual day we first did our tridition flag ceromony we then spilit into years and did our hikes. our hike was suppose to be 5 miles however it was 1. on the way up was a easy trip. we all sang songs and had alot of fun. we made it to the top of the mountain and we ate. i then saw that all of our heavenly fathers creation and i knew that they were truely his. i was so grateful for that one thought. we started back down the mountain and we did the same sang songs and had fun. after the hike was freetime. then we ate dinner and prepared for skit in a bag. our skit was pretty funny if i do say so myself. we watched all the skits and headed back. we all went out to do some star gazing. after that it was pretty late and we hit the bed.
June 19th- all i am going to say was we did the normal routine of flag , freetime, dinner, all of those things but that is not what i remember the most. on thursdday night we had alot of time as a camp togather we were able to do the plate activity, which is what i toatally needed. we all had to write something the we liked about them and my plate had no room when it was done . we then walked out with ou SYL`S and we talked about the iron rod. we then got to expierence what it was like to hold to the rod. we went through temptations and things that we all love and had to keep going. it was really insperational and humbling. we then listened to the leaders talk and the watched a slideshow of many of heavenly fathers accomplishments. and then it was done. we were all really tired and we fell fast asleep.
june 20th- the normal routine favored in. we then had our stake dinner and enjoyed it. we had chicken and salades and cupcakes and it was so good. we headed back to our camps and showed our bishop around. thewn bishop moore started to share his stories and events. we then as a ward shared our testomonies and our experiences of what we liked and loved. after bishop was done it was late night games and boy was that a disater. me and a few other girls started to have evil minds and we started to teepee all the toilets in the camp site. we then got arrested for doing it but we then snuck out to clean our mess and run free. we all wanted to do a all nighter and we were so close to making it but at about 5 we all crashed asleep.
june 21st- we did our last flag ceromony and we packed up and then it was all over
i am so glad for that experience it has helped me greatly
